Arranges for a single woman within the community, the Mitzva Sleeper, to be on call for an expectant mother. If the mother goes into labor at night she contacts her Mitzva Sleeper who comes over and stays with their kids from 11pm - 7am. Contact between the two is made prior to the due date so that the covering person can get acquainted with the kids, familiarize themselves with the location of the home and get details about the family routine prior to the time they have to rush out of the house.
